This keyboard's sounds are great! I've compared its sounds with other more famous brands within the same price range, this one is not left behind and even is a winner for some features. This keyboard has wiped away the toy image of Casio. These are its advance features compare to the previous WK series: (a) drawbar button: enable us to access the drawbar organs and create organ sounds instantly, (b) hundreds of DSP (really cool!), (c) built in equalizer (d) tone wave and drums wave sounds enable to create sounds with sampled wav files, (e) smart media card (f) line out and (g) bigger memory support more tones & rhytm. The music softwares can be downloaded freely from http://music.casio.com which also enriched the capabilities of this board. These are some features that is not supported by this board: (a) no USB port, no Cable and no CD ROM provided (b) no real time SMF editor (c) no fast search button (ex: jog dial) or tones cathegorization button to help user choose the desired sound from so many sounds available on board (you must remember the numbers!) (d) not enough memory: 2MB memory shares for all (you must erase some data if you're working with big size wav files) (e) not enough user memory (for tone, rhytms) with many sounds & rhytm available to download you need much more user memory to save them (f) no assignable knob to use the sound effects and (g) no sequencer and arpeggiator. However, for 400 bucks it's really a banging keyboard! A big step from Casio to develop more professional instrument in the future.
