PROBABELY THE MOST (!) INTUITIVE SEQUENCER
has a feel of a hardware workstation but the best money has to offer.
It's so easy to use it's silly, just hook up ur midi controller and mixer and ur in the game.
Some great things that I liked about live were:
1)Real easy tutorials which are built in to the program and are supposed to get You up and running from the get go.
2)Although it works with most VSTs I realy liked the effects ableton built in the program.especialy good for the electronic/laptop musician.
3)THE DESIGN (and color schemes)!!! - finally a sequencer that looks good.
4)The feel - probabely less accurate than cubase but alot more fun and .
5)easy as 1 2 3

Although not a replacement for the "BIG DOGS" of sequencers/Recording Software this program is just what I was looking for!!! it fills a niche and does it in the best way I can imagine.
Perfect for live (hence the name :) for composing ,sketching , or just for plain fun.it sounds great and is stable as a rock on my system.
In conclusion : IF YOU DONT HAVE IT - THEN U REALY REALY NEED TO GET IT BECAUSE IT'S AN AMAZING PIECE OF SOFTWARE.

Bought this on sale bundled with a M audio O2 USB keyboard. I have been a HUGE fan of ACID PRO since Version 1.0 and read the reveiws of Live and was quite skeptical about it. One day I really sat down and read a review in Keyboard magazine and messed around with the demo. Saw the ad in Guitar Center and went and bought it the next day. Since then I have totally fell in love with this program. I use it everyday and everyday it takes me to new places. This is the tool for doing remixing and working out song arrangements. I took a demo song a friend sent me that i liked but didn't like his arrangement. Loaded in Ableton and made clips and re arranged the song. Very easy to use but i recommend buying the Ableton Live 4.0 Power book too cause that really helped me. I am still learning this program but still excited about it after having it a month. Only had it crash one time and I think I caused that.
